Browser Storage & Cookies — Bitpont
Understand preferences, wallet reconnection and recovery data on your device.
Updated 24 October 2026
What this interface stores
Bitpont uses localStorage and sessionStorage, not only cookies. Wallet preferences, display settings, favourites and chart caches support the interface. Recovery journals store public wallet addresses, signatures and unresolved transaction state. Bridge activity is also local to the browser.
Optional referral invitation
An invitation can be saved after you choose to accept it. Its local validity is 30 days. Accepting an on-chain or server-side referral attribution is a separate authenticated step, and clearing the local invitation does not undo an attribution already recorded.
Advertising and analytics
No advertising or analytics tracker is included in this application release. Hosting infrastructure and third-party services can still process network requests. Optional tracking introduced later needs a clear disclosure and any required consent before activation.
Manage your choices
Use the connected-address menu to disconnect or switch wallet. Browser site settings allow storage removal, and wallet settings can revoke site connection permission. Website disconnection does not revoke on-chain spending approvals.
Storage blocked or full
Required recovery writes can fail in private browsing, restricted settings or full storage. If the interface cannot preserve recovery state, it can stop before the wallet prompt. Resolve the storage problem without discarding unresolved transaction evidence.
