Connect and Fund a Wallet on Bitpont

Choose the correct account, understand balances and keep transaction fees available.

Updated 27 October 2026

Connect the account you intend to use

  1. Open the wallet chooser. Select Connect wallet and a compatible installed wallet. Approve the connection in that wallet. A connection exposes the selected public account; it is separate from approving a transaction.
  2. Check the address. Compare the displayed account with the address in the wallet. Use Change wallet to switch. When you change accounts, wait for balances and protocol positions to reload.
  3. Check the network and asset. For Solana, verify the token mint as well as its symbol. For Bridge, select the source and receiving networks separately. A matching ticker does not make an Ethereum balance spendable on Solana.

Get funds into the correct place

To receive funds into your wallet, use your wallet’s own receive function and verify the network supported by the sending service. For an exchange withdrawal, check its network, address format and fees before authorizing it. Bitpont cannot reverse a transfer sent to the wrong network or recipient.

If funds are on a different supported network, follow the bridge guide. If the token is already on the desired swap network but you need another asset, use a swap. Perps deposits are a further, separate step through Add / withdraw funds.

Understand the balance you are reading

  • Wallet balance: tokens held by the selected wallet.
  • Earn position: a deposit, shares or receipt associated with a provider.
  • Perps equity and free collateral: protocol account measures, not a list of spendable wallet tokens.
  • Unavailable or stale: the current balance is not established; it does not mean zero.

Use the wallet drawer or portfolio to inspect the categories. A receipt token and its underlying position can represent the same value; adding them together can double-count it.

The wallet will not connect or sign

Unlock the wallet, check its selected account and look for a pending approval window. If the wallet rejects a request, return to Bitpont and review it again when ready. Changing wallets during an open review invalidates that review. Do not disable transaction checks or share private credentials to resolve a connection problem.

Reconnection and permissions

A trusted wallet may reconnect when you return. Disconnect through the wallet or the available account controls. Disconnecting a site does not revoke existing on-chain EVM token allowances. Review those separately in a trusted allowance-management interface or wallet feature.

Multiple wallets, one shared selection

Use Change wallet or Connect another to keep multiple wallets available. One Solana wallet and one EVM wallet can be active for transactions at the same time. Selecting a different provider updates Swap, Bridge, Earn and Portfolio through the shared wallet controls. Accounts inside an extension are chosen in that wallet. A changed account or network requires a fresh transaction review.

Installed is different from network-compatible

An Ethereum address does not prove the wallet supports every EVM chain. Bitpont checks known compatibility in the chooser and verifies the requested network before trading. If a network switch fails, use Choose wallet for that network. For BNB Chain in Phantom, update the wallet and check Settings > Active Networks; an older installed connection can still be unavailable. Phantom does not support Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche or Linea in its current published network list.

View-only accounts and pending connections

A watch-only account can display balances but cannot sign messages or transactions. Choose an account you control inside the wallet, then reconnect. Bitpont cannot turn a public address into a signing account. If a request is already pending, approve or cancel it in the wallet before retrying. Returning to the tab rechecks authorized EVM accounts without asking for a test signature.
