Jito staking mechanics and position types

A JitoSOL balance represents a share of the pool. Its token count does not need to grow for the pool exchange value to change. Direct withdrawals redeem JitoSOL for SOL; a separate market swap can have a different price, fees and slippage.

How pool rewards reach the receipt

Pool value changes the amount of SOL represented by JitoSOL. Validator performance, fees and losses matter alongside rewards. Holding a receipt does not fix its market value.

Protocol overview versus a staking action

Use this overview to understand Jito receipts and exits. The Stake SOL page focuses on the current deposit or redemption preview; the JitoSOL guide compares holding the receipt with trading it.
