SOLANA PERPS / HANDBOOK

How to use Bitpont Perps with a Solana wallet

Bitpont builds unsigned transactions. Your connected wallet approves and submits them on Solana.

1. Check the market and network

Open the market directory and confirm the contract is available, its data is fresh and the network matches your intended account. A visible listing alone is not proof that trading is enabled. Review the exact collateral asset; do not send a similarly named token or use an unsupported chain.

2. Connect and fund the correct account

Use a compatible Phantom or Solflare wallet. Keep SOL for network fees and account rent. Choose the subaccount before funding. First-time initialization and a deposit are separate transactions; inspect both wallet prompts. The existing Velocity integration uses its onchain quote market rather than another protocol’s balances.

3. Review the contract units

Read the minimum order, quantity step and price tick. A scaled contract such as 1MBONK represents a different quoted unit from one BONK token. Use the contract symbol and specifications, not an assumed spot-token quantity.

4. Place and verify an order

Choose direction, quantity and order type. Review the unsigned transaction summary, approve the wallet request, then wait for confirmation. Inspect the position and open orders to establish whether it filled. A confirmed transaction is not a promise of a completed fill.

5. Manage exposure and disconnect

Use reduce-only for closing, review any outstanding protective orders, and settle available PnL when appropriate. Disconnecting your wallet does not close positions or cancel orders. Reconnect the same wallet and subaccount to manage them.

Orders, funding and collateral depend on the current protocol state. Confirmation does not prove a fill. Check the selected wallet and subaccount.
