USDT Collateral for Solana Perpetuals
A token in your wallet and collateral in your perpetual account are different balances. Check both before placing an order.

Wallet balance versus trading collateral
The current Bitpont integration uses Velocity with USDT as its mainnet quote collateral. Holding USDC or SOL in your wallet does not automatically fund this account. The terminal account panel reports the selected protocol subaccount, while your wallet holds assets outside it.
Keep SOL available for transaction fees
USDT provides collateral in this integration. SOL pays Solana transaction fees and can be needed for account creation. A wallet can hold enough USDT for a planned deposit but still be unable to submit the transaction if its SOL balance is insufficient.
Deposit into the intended subaccount
Connect the intended Solana wallet, select its subaccount, and open Add / withdraw funds. Review the asset and amount shown in the transaction. First use may require account initialization before the deposit. Check that the deposit confirmed and the account balance updated before sizing a position.
Why withdrawal capacity can change
An account with open positions or orders may need collateral to satisfy margin requirements. Unrealized profit is not automatically withdrawable cash. Review account health, outstanding orders and any available PnL settlement before requesting a withdrawal. Protocol checks determine whether a withdrawal can proceed.
Existing Drift balances are separate
Velocity is a separate deployment. A balance previously deposited in Drift is not a Velocity deposit and does not appear automatically in this interface. Do not assume that reconnecting the same wallet transfers collateral between protocols. Consult the original protocol for its account and withdrawal procedures.
Orders, funding and collateral depend on the current protocol state. Confirmation does not prove a fill. Check the selected wallet and subaccount.
