How sizing & leverage work

Choose a collateral percentage, then adjust leverage to resize the order. Capped by market initial margin and site limits, with a 2% sizing reserve. Actual account leverage changes after fills; margin remains cross.

CONTRACT OVERVIEW

Solana perpetual futures on Solana

SOL-PERP provides perpetual price exposure quoted in the protocol’s dollar-denominated quote units. It does not transfer ownership of Solana to your wallet. Long and short exposure can generate gains or losses; positions share margin within the selected subaccount.

Available at the last check. Execution still depends on liquidity, margin and transaction simulation.

Order quantities are measured in SOL contract base units. Prices must respect the market tick.

Trading SOL-PERP on Bitpont

Connect a compatible Solana wallet, choose your subaccount and verify collateral. Use the ticket above to review direction, quantity and the execution condition. After signing, inspect positions and open orders: confirmation alone does not prove a fill. Funding and liquidation risk continue while a position remains open.

SOL / MARKET HANDBOOK

Know the position you are opening.

SOL exposure and transaction fees are different balances. A SOL perpetual position does not supply the native SOL your wallet needs to pay for transactions. Keep wallet fees separate from USDT margin.

01

Long or short Solana

A long gains from a price increase before costs; a short gains from a decrease. Both can lose more quickly as leverage rises. The quantity field is in SOL contract units, while order value is a dollar estimate.

02

SOL funding & holding costs

The displayed funding observation is historical, not a fixed yield. Funding can change while the position is open. Add fill fees and network costs when assessing the result; price movement alone is not net PnL.

03

Margin before leverage

USDT collateral supports positions in the selected cross-margin subaccount. Another position can change available collateral and liquidation risk. A stop order does not guarantee execution at its trigger price.

SOL perpetual trading questions

Does a SOL long give me SOL in my wallet?

No. The contract changes your price exposure. To receive SOL itself, use the SOL/USDC spot pair instead.

Why does my confirmed SOL order still show as open?

Confirmation means the order transaction reached the chain. A resting limit or an unfilled portion can remain open. Check positions and open orders before placing another order; cancel or amend the existing order when appropriate.

How do I close a SOL perpetual position?

Use the position’s close control or submit an opposite-side reduce-only order with the intended quantity. Review the remaining position after execution. Withdrawing collateral or disconnecting your wallet does not close it.
